InTouch: Friend Reminders — Privacy Policy

Effective 11 September 2026

InTouch is an iOS app that helps you stay in touch with the people you care about: you pick who matters, how often you want to talk, log when you do, and get a gentle reminder before you drift apart. It is built so that everything about your relationships stays on your device. This page explains, plainly, what the app does and does not collect. The short version: nothing leaves your phone.

Your data stays on your device

Everything you enter in the app — the names of the people you add, how often you want to talk to them, the interactions you log (type, date, an optional note), your notification times, and your preferences — is stored in a local database on your iPhone. It is never uploaded to us or to anyone else. There are no accounts, no server, and no cloud sync. We never see your data.

Contacts

When you add a person, you can pick them from your Contacts. The app uses Apple’s system contact picker, which shows you your contacts without giving the app access to your address book. Only the name you choose is copied into the app. The app never reads, stores, or uploads your contacts list.

Notifications

Reminders are scheduled locally on your device through Apple’s system frameworks. No notification service or push server is involved, and no notification content is sent anywhere.

No analytics, tracking, or advertising

The app contains no analytics, no crash reporting that leaves the device, no advertising, and no third-party software that collects data. It does not track you across apps or websites.

Backups

Your data is included in your normal device backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) under Apple’s terms, exactly like any other app’s data. The app itself does not sync anything. If a future version adds optional iCloud sync, it will be off by default, and this page will be updated before it ships.

Who receives data

Nobody. The only party involved is Apple, through the system services above and the App Store. Apple’s handling of that data is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not sell data, run ads, or share data with anyone.

Your choices

There is nothing to request from us, because we hold no data about you.

Children

InTouch is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If the app’s data practices change, this page will be updated and the effective date above revised. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
