Clear Intervals — Privacy Policy

Effective 11 September 2026

Clear Intervals is a free interval timer for iPhone. It is designed to work without an account, advertising, analytics or tracking. This page explains, plainly, what the app stores on your device and what it does not collect.

Your workout data stays on your device

Clear Intervals stores your saved workouts, workout history, whether you have finished the introduction, and a recovery checkpoint for an active workout in the app’s private storage on your iPhone. This information is used only to run the timer, the workout library, history, and workout restoration. It is never uploaded to us or to anyone else. There are no accounts and no cloud sync.

If you enable an Apple backup service, Apple may include app data in your iPhone backup. Those backups are controlled by Apple and your device settings, not by Clear Intervals.

Data we collect

We do not collect data through the Clear Intervals app. In particular, the app does not collect identifiers, contact information, health or fitness information, usage analytics, diagnostics, advertising data, or location.

Tracking, advertising, accounts and purchases

Clear Intervals contains no advertising, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not request App Tracking Transparency permission. No account or sign-in is required. The app contains no in-app purchases.

Notifications and Live Activities

Clear Intervals can use local notifications for phase cues and a Live Activity to show your running timer on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Both are provided by iOS and can be turned off in your device settings. The app does not use a server to send notification content or Live Activity updates.

Third-party software

The app includes open-source libraries used for local storage and application infrastructure. Their license notices are listed inside Clear Intervals under About. The app includes no third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking software.

Links to the web

About links to this page and to the support page. Opening a link hands the address to your browser; the app sends no data with it and keeps no record of the visit.

Deleting your data

You can delete individual saved workouts and history entries inside the app. Deleting Clear Intervals removes all of its local data from the device, subject to any device backups you control through Apple.

Children

Clear Intervals is a general-purpose workout utility. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If the app’s data practices change, this page and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before the changed version is released. The effective date above identifies the current version.
